May 2016 favourites feat. Fresh, By Terry, Lancome, NYX, H&M, Ted Baker ect| Giugizu

>> Hi and welcome or welcome back on my channel my name is Giuliana and I upload new videos every monday and friday so if you haven't yet subscribe As you may have guessed from the title it's time again to talk about my monthly favourites skin care, make up, clothes, accessories, books a little bit of everything, a selection of what I've been loving the most lately.

As I often say the idea behind these videos is not to simply show what I bought lately but to let you know why I loved these products and maybe give you some inspiration for your next shopping session.

That said I think we should get started because as usual I've got plenty of juicy things to share.

My first skin care favourite is a new product that was actually launched in May and it's part of a line that includes other products too I tested the Lotion perlée lissante et rempulpante or in english the smoothing and plumping pearly lotion from the Energie de Vie line by Lancome.

It's a fluid lotion that you can apply basically whenever you want I use it in the morning or in the evening, depending on how I feel like and it.

Cough.

plumps the skin, makes it brighter and more rested that's why it's called energie de vie It's a lovely product it's not miracoulous, if you're super tired don't think that by applying your pearly lotion you'll immediately look awake and 20 years younger but I have to say that lately I've been quite tired and stressed out and my skin has been more dull and applying this lotion made me notice a slight improvement nothing spectacular, but definitely noticeable.

which is not bad at all.

I have to tell you that it's quite pricy though I can't remember the price because I bought it at the beginning of the month and I forgot it.

Anyway I remind you that as usual on my blog you'll find the link to this product and all the other ones I'll mention so that you'll be able to check the Sephora web site and find out the price or get more infos.

The second skincare item I think I already showed it in my London haul and it's a Fresh face scrub it's a really gentle exfoliant, which is important because unlike body scrubs that can be a bit rougher, a face scrub needs to be gentle not to irritate the skin.

This is definitely gentle, it's made of brown sugar, strawberry seeds, vitamin C and more ingredients and it removes the dead cells, purifying and rejuvenating the skin and it smells heavenly, it makes you want to.

yep.

Eat it! There must be some lemon or lime inside too as I can definitely smell it It has a thick consistency, but it's not too rough as I said which makes it lovely to apply, it smells greatly it gently exfoliates and leaves the skin soft and hydrated.

I've always been a bit scared of face scrubs as they may be too aggressive but this one, just like all the other Fresh products I tried, it's amazing I recommend it for sure, so if you're in the U.

S.

or in the U.

K.

if you're planning a trip there I suggest you to try the Fresh products and if you know where I can buy them online in Italy leave a comment because I'm in love.

For the make up section this month I've got 2, well 3.

Things to show you a foundation and 2 lip products let's start with the foundation this little guy by the brand By terry that once again it's quite hard to get here in Italy you can easily get it in France, it's available in Sephora and lately I've been often in France and the shop assistant in Sephora was raving so much about it that even if I know it's her job I decided to give it a try and I've been liking it a lot the peculiarity is that it's a cream foundation with a built in brush and if you press at the buttom the product comes out, you apply it on your face and I usually blend it with the Beauty blender What I like the most about this foundation is that it's really brightening it is in fact a brightening foundation, that evens out the skin, it's not heavy at all but the coverage is good enough to hide the bigger imperfections I think it's perfect for Summer because it's light weight, once you have it on you can't feel it anymore but the coverage is good nevertheless.

Just like any By Terry product it's quite expensive though but I can't remember the exact price, sorry about that, I'll try to link to Sephora France so that you can get an idea of the price I've got the number 5, peach beige but it's available in many different shades.

The next two products are lip creams by NYX the soft matte lip creams and they have a matt finish I'm wearing this one right now I bought them on Amazon, but they're available on Asos too if you prefer The peculiarity of these lips products, lip creams is that they are easy to apply, while similiar products are often very thick and hard to use or they really dry the lips these ones on the other hand are soft and creamy so it's easy to apply it doesn't dry straight away which means you have time to touch it up if necessary then it becomes matt, without drying out the lips too much.

It's available in a million shades and they all have a city or a country related name, I chose this one which is called Antwerp which is a muted punk.

Punk???? I mean muted pink! and by contrast I also got his one, called Morocco, which is a bright red with an orangy undertone and I like them both because they last a long time, and they are quite intense.

and those were my make up favourites now let's jump straight to the clothes I've got a few more bits to show you but I'll do it later because I'be got quite a few items to show and I'm really excited about some of them.

I'll start with the dress that I love the most and I didn't even wear it yet I know it sounds weird but that's the truth Before I show it I'd like to quickly tell you something about this purchase Around 3 months ago I went into a Ted Baker shop I think I was in Marseille and I spotted this dress but my size was not available.

Ok then in London I went again in a Ted Baker shop and once again my size was not available more recently in Nice, in the Galerie Lafayettes, where there is a Ted Baker corner I looked for it again and it wasn't available then when I lost hope I realized that it was availablre in my size on Asos, isn't that funny? So I got it and as you will see it's a dress that can be worn every day or on special occasions and as I have a wedding in July I thought it was simply perfect I'm talking about this guy, that it's completely washed out by the lights but I'll insert some close ups so that you can see it.

It's a slightly retro looking dress in a white fabric with an adorable floral print on the skirt on the back it has a sheer section, but not too wide to show your bra it fits gorgeously and it even has pockets which is a great plus for me.

As I said it's by Ted Baker, it's a bit more expensive than my usual finds I think I paid it around 200.

290 euros, but the quality is amazing and as I said at the beginning it's a dress that can be worn on special occasions but on a daily basis too because often the dresses you get for cerimonies can't be worn that often, while this one is a win win and I love it I haven't worn it yet because I'm saving it for the wedding in July but I'm not sure I'll resist and I decided to show it straight away because it may run out of stock soon and I wanted to give you a chance to get it in case you'll love it as much as I do.

Now let's move to the other pieces which are definitely more affordable like this skirt that I got from H&M and that I fell in love with it's quite a basic skirt, it's a bit flared with an asymmetrical end elasticated on the waist, but the thing I love the most is the fabric which is super soft it's flowy and fits perfectly, I fell in love as soon as I tried it so I had to get it and by the way I already wore it a lot I think I may have worn it everyday last week because it's super comfy it's easy to pair as black goes with almost everything I like to wear it with a bright shirt or with a black one for a minimal look black is my favourite color and even if in Summer I like to add some bright pieces sometimes I enjoy a total black look too Speaking about brighter pieces.

Tadaaaa I found this bright blouse with poppies and wildflowers in Promod and honestly I never buy anything in Promod but while walking in front of the shop window I noticed these bright blouses and I felt like adding a bit of color to my wardrobe and the prices in Promod are very interesting so I got it and I already wore it a lot I paired it with a red skirt for a pop of color or with my jeans and a white tshirt, this kind of pieces are perfect for this time of the year because you can make it look more girly adding a skirt or super casual with jeans or leggings and a t-shirt.

Another of my favourites is the blouse I'm wearing right now that I got from H&M with the black skirt to wear together and I ended up liking them both a lot, together and separately I like this blouse because it fits nicely while often blouses are or too loose or too tight on my breast this one fits perfecty and I love the frills on the front that add a special touch to it I usually pair it with skirts for a girly look you can pair it with pencil skirts too, I don't wear them much, but I'm sure it would look good and as it's by H&M the price is affordable too.

It's time to show the last piece and I kept it as last one because you can't buy it anywhere but as some of you asked me, after watching my vlog from the Vintage fair in Belgioioso near Pavia, what I had bought The answer is that I only bought one piece this 60ies original soft jersey nautical dress with this flap on the back, I don't know how it's called On the front it has some buttons and a white edge the skirt is flared and it has a belt too.

and those were all of my May favourite clothes I hope you found them interesting, now let's talk about accessoires.

This month I won't bother you with the accessories I create in case you don't know each wednesday I show you on my blog my latest creations they are all one of a kind bijoux that I create and if you wish to know more I invite you to check my blog or my Facebook page because in the photo section you can see all the available pieces the links to my social networks and my blog are in the infobox and if you should like something don't hesitate to contact me through a private message on Facebook That said let's talk about my favourite accessory and it's this necklace that I bought in Promod together with the shirt.

I went in to try the shirt and I immediately noticed the necklace and I bought it too and I'm glad I did because it brightens up every outfit it's not heavy and it has this lovely rosy coppery shade it's perfect for Summer, I love it and as I said I bought it in Promod.

If you follow my channel you'll know that I do love candles I always have some burning, even right now I have two over there one one here and some more around the house and recently in the Galeries Lafayettes in Nice I spotted the Anthropologie corner, if you're not familiar it's an american brand, I think.

that sells clothes and home decor pieces but they have very peculiar pieces as they select the products in order to be different and cool Long story short I noticed that they had some amazing candles and I bought a few, one is over there but my favourite is this one it's fresh, summery and slightly citrusy I'm in love with the jar that it's worth the money on its own, it's amazing I keep saying amazing, bear with me.

Isn't it beautiful? You can use it once you burn the candle to store your bijoux and it will dress up your room Ok we reached the last section and I feel like I've been rambling more than usual so let's move on the the books! My May favourite book without any doubt is D'amore si muore ma io no by Guido Catalano If you're not familiar Guido Catalano is an italian poet his poems are really beautiful but he is very far from the classic idea of a poet as it's poems are super comtemporary and relatable but this not a poem collection but a novel in which Guido Catalano talks about love in a very funny and true way and it's very easy to relate with the main character with his weaknesses, his defects, with his qualities and it's a book that keeps you glued to the pages a book that you will find yourself quoting, which is always a good sign In few words D'amore si muore, ma io no, the first novel of the last of the poets by Guido Catalano is my suggestion for this month Et voilā, we reached the end of another favourites video I hope I didn't bore you as I feel like I've been talking away too much but apparently today I was in chatty mood and I left myself ramble a lot I hope you liked the video anyway, if so please give it a thumbs up so that I'll know you enjoyed it if you haven't yet subscribe in order not to miss any new video I remind you once more that on my blog you'll find the list of all the products mentioned with direct purchasing links where available and my blog address is in the downbar Ok, that's really it, I send you a big kiss and I'll see you in my next one, ciaooo.
